Counselling Support

Posted On: 28/05/2021

Through working with the Pompe community and learning from our recent surveys, it is clear that some people may be helped by appropriate counselling.

Where the best support for mental wellbeing cannot be provided by the NHS or other statutory services, Pompe Support Network has funding to provide financial help to cover the costs of private consultations with chartered Counselling Psychologist, Caroline Finill, who works at Psychology Partners. Consultations can be held virtually (over the Internet) if it is not possible to meet face-to-face.

Dr Caroline Finill

Caroline says:

Therapy can help you in various ways. You may want to change unhelpful patterns of thinking and behaviour that cause you distress; you may want to understand yourself or those around you better or come to terms with a life-changing event.

Deciding to embark on therapy can feel daunting. We are happy to offer a free telephone consultation to think about your needs, and to answer any questions you may have.

Please mention Pompe Support Network if you contact Caroline and she will confidentially discuss the financial help we are able to provide. To qualify for financial support, you will need to be a subscriber to Pompe Support Network and should contact us directly so that we can agree the number of consultations and to be directly invoiced by Psychology Partners.
