With luck, our most vulnerable friends and family will soon be vaccinated against Covid-19 and we can begin to rebuild our society, perhaps retaining some of the beneficial changes that have been enforced on us; notably, virtual meetings and telemedicine. But it will certainly be good to return to meeting people face-to-face, rather than mask-to-mask!
Despite the obvious challenges, our first year as a registered charity was very encouraging, with substantial grants and donations from industry, charitable trusts and foundations, as well as private individuals. We have been well supported by the Pompe community who subscribed to our charity and engaged with our work through the website and social media channels. As a patient support group, we have felt very well supported by the Pompe community, both nationally and internationally.
We look forward to the continued support from you and the wider Pompe community throughout 2021, and we will be announcing a few new initiatives to be launched very soon. In the meantime, if there is any support you need, or have any advice to offer, please don’t hesitate in making contact directly, we’d love to hear from you.
Best Wishes for 2021
