Pompe & Circumstance

Do you like singing?
Or fancy trying something new?
M and F Health are looking for people with Pompe to join for a very special singing project inspired by Elgar’s Pomp and Circumstance.

You don’t need to be a singer, you just need to have some time in February and be willing to have a go. Well known singing coaches, David and Carrie Grant (Previously worked with Take That/Charlotte Church/Demi Lovato/Will Young), will be leading the programme and will help you with breathing and vocal exercises. They will initially carry out online singing sessions which will take place in early February.

This will culminate in a final production performance at the famous Abbey Road studios where Elgar first performed Pomp and Circumstance 120 years ago. (We can help with transportation if needed) The performance will be released in accordance with Rare Disease Day, 28th February.

Non-singers and percussionists are more than welcome to take part. There will be no pressure to sing alone and no one will be put on the spot.

Supported by a grant from Sanofi and created in collaboration with the Pompe Support Network, the project aims to bring people living with Pompe together to explore the link between music and health and raise awareness of Pompe disease.

The project is open to everyone: Pompe patients, family members, carers, friends, or healthcare professionals.

Email us if you’d like more info or would like to join. We’d love to hear from you. hello@pompe.uk
