Date: Saturday 8th May 2021
Time: 11:00am (London, UK)
Place: Online Zoom Meeting
The Pompe community has been affected in many ways by the current pandemic and the societal and medical restrictions:
- Events could not be organised to meet old and friends and introduce new Pompe community members.
- Newly diagnosed patients had difficulty getting referrals to expert centres
- Suspension of homecare services worsened individual’s symptoms
- LSD Expert centres moved to video-consultations (telemedicine)
- And many more
The meeting will help us each decide what might be best for us and our families, and it will also provide the Pompe Support Network with the knowledge it needs to represent the Pompe community in discussions with medical and social care services.

We are very pleased to confirm that we will be joined by Health Professional Dr Caroline Finill, who is highly experienced in working with adults suffering with depression, anxiety, and relationship problems.
Dr Finill is a chartered Counselling Psychologist who has worked at The National Hospital in London and also works in private practice. Dr Finill will join our meeting to understand some of the challenges faced by the Pompe community and will be available for private consultation afterwards.
On request, Pompe Support Network is able to support UK members to cover fees for an initial consultation and a series of counselling sessions.
