You are invited to join an online meeting to take part in discussions on the Pompe Community’s recent experiences with homecare.
Four months of lockdown, shielding, and treatment holidays has highlighted a number of serious issues and concerns regarding homecare infusions. This Zoom meeting will be a forum to enable open discussion of people’s experiences, and will provide opportunities to air your views or ask questions to others, or just simply listen to what is discussed.
- Experiences: What did we learn about homecare during lockdown?
- Keeping safe: How do you feel now about homecare?
- Independence: Open discussion about self-cannulation and drug reconstitution
- Preparations: Are you ready for a “second wave” of Covid-19?
The meeting will be open to anyone within the Pompe community and a great opportunity to discuss past experience of homecare and home infusions, especially during the COVID-19 restrictions.
The meeting will be facilitated by Allan Muir, Chair of the Pompe Support Network. In addition, there will be members of the community present who are fully independent and can pass on their self-infusing experiences.
We will record the meeting to help with subsequent reporting, but the recording will not be published or shared outside of the organisation.
We look forward to seeing you there!
